Wall Art Lamp

I saw this wall art and wanted to see how it looked as a lamp. I couldn’t find a good base, so I built one out of plumbing fittings.

The Original

I thought the wall art had in interesting mix of shapes, colors, and textures. I wanted to keep as much of the original character as possible.

The Process

I couldn’t find a base with the right structure, so I built one using plumbing fittings. I then fed in the cord and attached the lamp fittings.

The Result

The finished lamp keeps the look and feel of the original wall art, now reimagined as a functional piece. The plumbing fittings give it a sturdy base, and the light brings out the textures, colors, and shadows in a whole new way.
